Recent ActivityInstructor: Bill McIlwain
Coach McIlwain is beginning his first season as coach of the Girls Track Team at CJHS. He has previously coached as the Lady Arrows track coach for Sumner Hill, and just finished his fourth season as Assistant Cross Country coach at Clinton High School, where the boys team recently won the 2010 MSHAA 6-A State Title, knocking off nine-time champion Tupelo.
Coach McIlwain has been a runner for 19 years and has competed in 5 and 10K races, particularly the Azalea Trail 10K Run in Mobile, Al, and has placed in his age division in most 5 and 10K races since 1996. He was the overall winner in the Raymond Country Fair 5K Run in 2004 with a time of 18:47 .
Coach McIlwain's philosophy is for everyone to be on the same page, to be spiritually, mentally, and physically fit, and for atheletes to run or perform THEIR race and strive to better themselves in every competition to continue the winning spirit at Clinton Junior High.
Coach McIlwain is married to Susan Strong of Jackson and has two kids, Reagan (2009 CJHS 3200M runner) and Claire.

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the junior high track 3:30-4:30 PM (HAVE YOUR ATHLETE PICKED UP BY 4:30) (BOYS TRYOUTS WILL BE THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 3:30-4:30, also at the junior high track ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE A PARENTAL CONSENT FORM AND A PHYSICAL.
